Merkaz is a neighborhood restaurant showcasing the best of Israeli street food. The Hebrew word for “center”, Merkaz is helmed by Chef Henry Morgan, the longtime chef of our beloved hummus stall, Dizengoff.

Every day we serve pita sandwiches and signature hummus and salatim from 11am until close. We also offer prepared meals to go. And to quench your thirst, enjoy a variety of gazoz, the freshly flavored Israeli soft drink making its Philadelphia debut.
